Create a Post

To start creating a post, tap on the Action Button located on your screen. You can either tap it briefly or long-press to select the Post Creation option from the menu.

User Permissions

Storage Access: If you wish to upload media from your device, you must grant the Moseiki app access to your device's storage.

Location Access: To include location data in your post, please allow the Moseiki app to access your device's location services.

Creating Your Post

  1. User Identity: At the top of the post creation page, your thumbnail and username are displayed, confirming the account you are posting from.

  2. Compose Your Text: You can type up to 222 characters. Emojis count as 2 characters each. The app will automatically suggest AI-generated photo thumbnails when you input a period (.) in your text.

  3. Add Media and More: Below the text area, use the selection bar to add different types of content to your post. Here’s what you can include:

    • Tag Friends

  4. Content Compatibility: When you choose a type of media, incompatible options will be faded out on the selection bar. Here’s a quick compatibility guide:

    • Media from Device and GIFs: Cannot be added together.

  5. Once you have added your desired content, review your post to ensure everything is as you want it. When ready, tap the Post button to share your creation with the community.

Content Restrictions: Please be aware that posts containing explicit violence, sexual content, or support for terrorism are prohibited.

How to add media from device storage/media library to a post?

Access and Permissions

Storage Access: Before you can upload media, ensure that you have granted the Moseiki app access to your device's storage. This is necessary to retrieve media files from your device.

Uploading Media

  1. Navigate to Media Upload: Start creating a post and tap on the Add Media From Device Storage/Media Library option in the selection bar on the Post Creation page.

  2. Selecting Media: You can add up to 10 images or videos per post. Once selected, media files will appear in a thumbnail carousel at the bottom of the screen for easy viewing and management.

  3. Editing Media:

      • Apply filters from a carousel of pre-defined options.

      • Note: MO is not available for video files.

    • Video Editing: Currently, specific video editing tools are not detailed here. Please use external tools for advanced video editing before uploading.

  4. Tagging Friends: Tap the Friend Tags button on a thumbnail to tag friends. A list of 11 frequently interacted friends will appear, or you can search for others via the search bar. You can tag up to 10 friends across all media in a single post. Once tagging is complete, the number of tagged friends will display on the thumbnail.

  5. Removing Media: To remove a media file, tap the Remove Button on the top right of the thumbnail or long-press and drag the thumbnail to the bin icon that appears.

  6. After adding and editing your media, finalize your post by adding any final text or settings and then publish to share with your community.

How to add voice recording to a post?

Permissions

Ensure the app has access to your device’s microphone before you start recording.

Starting an Audio Recording

  • Access Audio Recording: In the Post Creation page, tap the "Audio Recording" option on the selection bar to go to the Voice Recording screen.

  • Recording Duration: By default, you can record up to 22 minutes. Extend this to 60 minutes by toggling the extension button, which will segment the recording into three parts of 22 minutes each.

Using the Recording Controls

  • Start Recording: Tap the microphone button to begin. The recording timeline animates, and the button changes to a pause icon.

  • Pause/Resume Recording: Tap the pause button to stop recording temporarily. Tap again to resume. The timeline animation will pause when recording is paused and resume when recording restarts.

  • Finalize Recording: Tap the "Done" button to finish recording. You will be redirected back to the Post Creation view with a default cover visual.

Managing Audio Clips

  • View Clips: Audio clips are displayed in a carousel view. Swipe left or right to navigate between clips.

  • Playback Controls: Tap the (icon) play button to listen to a clip, and the (icon) pause button to stop. The recording's playback includes an animation around your profile picture.

  • Adjust Sound: Use the mute/unmute buttons to control the audio volume during playback.

Enhancing Your Audio Post

  • Change Cover Visual: Tap the "Add Cover" button to select a new cover image for your audio post. Your profile picture and username are displayed in the middle of the cover by default.

  • Add Tags and Locations: Tag friends and add location details by selecting the respective options from the selection bar.

Finalizing Your Post

  • After customizing your audio clips and cover visual, complete your post by adding any final text or settings, then publish to share your recording with the community.

How to tag my friends in a post?
  1. Use the “Find people and tag” search bar at the bottom of the tagging interface to type the names of the friends you wish to tag.

  2. From the search results or the list displayed, tap on the names of the friends you want to tag. A checkmark may appear next to their name to indicate they have been selected.

  3. Once you have selected all the friends you wish to tag, tap Done and confirm the action.

How to add a GIF to a post?
  1. Enter keywords in the search bar to find the perfect GIF. For instance, typing “celebration” will show related GIFs.

  2. Tap on the GIF that best fits your message to select it.

  3. The GIF will automatically be added to your message box.

How to add a location to a post?
  1. If prompted, allow the Moseiki app to access your device location to include location data in your post.

  2. Suggested locations will be displayed by default.

  3. Suggestions are based on the close proximity of the meta-data of the media file, if available. If meta-data is not available, suggestions will be based on the close proximity of your current device location.

  4. You can also use the search bar at the top of the suggested locations to find a specific location.

  5. Pick an option from the displayed locations to add it to your post.

How to give an offer to a post?

  1. Select Give Offer from the menu.

  2. Choose the offer category. Options include "Text", "Text & Gallery", and "Gallery".

  3. If applicable, select the pieces in the collection you want to give an offer on. You can select individual pieces or the entire collection.

  4. Enter your offer price. Make sure the price meets the minimum requirement specified. Confirm your price and submit the offer.

  5. Once submitted, you will see a confirmation screen indicating that your offer was successful. If the offer is accepted, you will be notified.

Photo Editing: Tap the Brush Button on any photo thumbnail to open the Photo Editing Tool. Here, you can:

Tap the Autocolor Button to magically color your images.

Tap the Crop Tool;

Adjust orientation with the orientation buttons. Select for Portrait, for Landscape and for a square image.

Rotate the photo counterclockwise using the Rotate Button.

Use the MO button for AI-assisted editing.

Tap the Tag Friends Button to open the panel.

Tap the GIF Button to open the GIF search panel.

Tap the Location Button when creating a post.

Click on the Kebab Menu on the top right of the post.
